Celebrating K’s 2nd Birthday

Celebrating K's 2nd Birthday | Happy Mom MusingsK turned 2 at the end of December, so I recently did a “birthday interview” with her, asking her some questions I hope to ask every year.  Here are her 2 year old answers:

What is your favorite color? Purple

What is your favorite toy? Stuffed dog (she has several, so I’m not sure which one she is referring to…)

What is your favorite fruit? Strawberries

What is your favorite tv show?  Frosty the Snowman (technically a movie, not a tv show, but I’ll take it!)

What is your favorite outfit?  A dress

What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch?  Eggs

What is your favorite game? “Daddy games”

What is your favorite snack?  Cheese

What is your favorite animal?  Dog/cow

What is your favorite song?  Frosty the Snowman (we’ve been listening to this on repeat)

What is your favorite book? (She couldn’t think of one – I think she likes too many.  I would think Angelina Ballerina is probably the favorite.)

Who is your best friend? Me (herself)… and Evie

What is your favorite thing to do outside?  Play

What is your favorite drink?  Apple cider

What is your favorite holiday?  “Happy holiday”  (I am not sure she understands what a holiday is yet.)

What do you take to bed with you at night?  Doggie, bear, animals (She sleeps with several stuffed animals.)

What do you like to eat for breakfast?  Cheese

What do you want for dinner on your birthday?  Shrimp and berries

What do you want to be when you grow up?  An elephant!

We did a small birthday celebration on K’s birthday this year – just the three of us.  Having just returned from Connecticut (and being almost 7 months pregnant), it was low-key, but I think she enjoyed herself and she seems to like her presents.

I made shrimp with peas and polenta for dinner – K loves shrimp.  And chocolate cupcakes with a raspberry buttercream frosting.  (My frosting broke a bit, but it still tasted delicious.)

We didn’t quite get this done for Christmas or K’s birthday, but I also wanted to show off our new art area!  K and I are both enjoying it – it makes it easier for me to provide different art activities and motivates me to do more with her.
